Multi-Family Residential (RM-1.5, , RM-2, RM-3,) Zones

Purpose: The RM Zones are intended for the development of multi-family residential development at densities consistent with the Lindsay General Plan. These zones include the RM-1.5, the RM-2 and the RM-3 Zones.

Development Standards: All uses in the RM Zones are subject to development standards contained in the Lindsay Zoning Ordinance. Below is a summary of some of these standards. Note that the Zoning Ordinance may contain more details regarding these standards and should be consulted prior to pursuing a project in this zone.

Setbacks:

Front Yard: 15 ft.
Side Yard: 5 ft. for Single-Story Structures
10 ft. for Multi-Story Structures
Rear Yard: 10 ft. for Single-Story Structures
15 ft. for Multi-Story Structures
Street Side: 5 ft. for Single-Story Structures
10 ft. for Multi-Story Structures
Carports & Garages: 20 ft. from Front Property Line
15 ft. if Door Faces Side Yard
10 ft. from Alley if Door Faces Alley
Accessory: Garden structures less than 7 ft. in height can be located anywhere within a required year yard.

Height:

Maximum Height: 35 ft.
Chimneys, vents, antennas, spires, and other structures not intended to increase floor area of the structure may project above the height limit.

Parking:

The Zoning Ordinance requires every new use to provide a certain number of parking spaces in a properly designed and constructed parking lot.

Fencing Height:

2.5 On corner lots in the street corner area of the lot formed by a right triangle with its apex at the street corner property lines and its sides measuring 25 ft.
