Request an Extension for my Monthly Water Bill

The City of Lindsay will attempt to notify account holders of past due amounts for water services. In addition to sending a monthly bill, the City will attempt to contact the account holder, including by phone and by posted notice at the service location. If the City has exhausted all reasonable efforts to contact the account holder on file and the account remains unpaid,  water services may be shutoff.

Effective July 1, 2021, unpaid delinquent balances may be billed to the property owner and the City may collect by assessment charges transferred to the Tulare County Tax Roll and collected through the property tax bill.

A public hearing will be held July of each year to approve the written report of assessments for delinquent accounts and to authorize the amounts owed to be assessed to the owner's property tax bill. The assessed charges are sent to  the Tulare County Assessor's office for collection on the tax roll.

To determine if a delinquent balance is being considered for assessment, property owners may contact the City of Lindsay Finance Department at (559) 562 - 7102.

All requests for extension on monthly water bills must be received in writing by the Finance Department located at 251 E Honolulu St., Lindsay CA 93247.

The City of Lindsay does not charge interest on delinquent utility accounts.
