WASHINGTON, April 13, 2020 – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today unveiled a one-stop-shop of federal programs that can be used by rural communities, organizations and individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Federal Rural Resource Guide (PDF, 349 KB) is a first-of-its-kind resource for rural leaders looking for federal funding and partnership opportunities to help address this pandemic.

“Under the leadership of President Trump, USDA is committed to being a strong partner to rural communities preparing for and impacted by COVID-19,” Perdue said. “This resource guide will help our rural leaders, whether they are in agriculture, education, health care or any other leadership capacity, understand what federal assistance is available for their communities during this unprecedented time.”

USDA has taken many immediate actions to assist farmers, ranchers, producers, rural communities, and rural-based businesses and organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information on these actions, visit www.usda.gov/coronavirus.

CHILDCARE RESOURCES

Are you looking for Childcare? Governor Newsom announced a new portal to help Californians working in essential sectors find safe, reliable, and accessible child care options. Use the statewide portal to find open childcare providers near you.

Californians working in essential sectors during the coronavirus (COVID-19) response need safe, reliable, and accessible child care options. MyChildCare.ca.gov provides an interactive map of qualified licensed child care providers near you. The tool is available in English and Spanish.

ChildCare.gov helps parents access safe and quality child care services in their community that best suits their family’s needs. ChildCare.gov provides links to State or Territory child care websites that parents use to search for child care and consumer education information.

To find child care:

Go to MyChildCare.ca.gov.

Search by location, health and safety details, ages of children, capacity, and hours of care.

If you have questions about the provider, your local child care resource and referral agency can help. They can also help you understand child care options and how to access child care subsidies.

To add your child care service to this provider list:

If you are a licensed child care provider, your work is essential. Please work with your local child care resource and referral agency to update your hours of operation and availability.
