Born and raised in Lindsay, Hipolito Angel Cerros is a life-long resident of the City. He attended Lincoln Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, and graduated from Lindsay High School with honors in 2016. After graduation, Hipolito was accepted into the University of California- Davis where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Technology Studies, emphasizing in Data and Media Technologies. Hipolito also minored in Technology Management and obtained a Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard University. Hipolito served as a Legislative Intern for California State Senator Melissa Hurtado, where he focused on advancing health equity, expanding accessibility to clean drinking water, and improving cybersecurity and digital infrastructures. Hipolito also interned at the United States Conference of Mayors in Washington D.C. where he collaborated with Mayors and Federal leaders from across the country. Hipolito was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to serve on the Tulare County Fair Board. In 2023, he announced his candidacy for State Assembly District 33. 

Hipolito was appointed to Lindsay’s City Council in 2020 and was unanimously elected Mayor, becoming the youngest member to serve in the City’s history. Hipolito hopes to improve the city’s infrastructure, promote economic development, and reestablish a trusting relationship between public officials and their constituents during his time
