The Human Resources Department supports the City of Lindsay by fostering a positive, respectful, and professional workplace. The department provides essential services to City employees and leadership while ensuring compliance with employment laws, labor agreements, and organizational policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Human Resources Department is responsible for a wide range of personnel and organizational functions, including:

  • Administration of employee benefits and retirement programs
  • Recruitment, selection, and onboarding of City employees
  • Wage and salary administration
  • Employee relations and performance management support
  • Administration of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and associated labor contracts
  • Maintenance of employee personnel files in accordance with applicable laws
  • Serving as a resource and advisor to Department Heads and City leadership
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
