Sweet Brier Plaza

The Sweet Brier Project is a multi-faceted project involving several different entities and several different funding sources.

Adjacent to the Sweet Brier Town Homes, the City of Lindsay constructed the Sweet Brier Plaza, consisting of 1.3 acres, with park open space, an open sidewalk promenade and Paseo, a central community plaza, complete with band stand and interactive water features. This Sweet Brier Plaza contains a large Mercado or market place area, which is constructed out of huge stone columns that form a square of vine covered arbors to provide shade for activities like farmers markets, craft fairs and other community events.

This entire project was completed in late 2002 and dedicated on April 1, 2003.
